Akhrot barfi-walnut fudge

Walnut barfi is a great way to feed kids and toddlers walnuts(who are not allergic to nuts).

  • 1 ltr milk reduced to 1 cup 250 ml
  • 1-½ cup walnut kernels
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • cup rose petals
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
  • Sliced pistachios few rose petals for garnish


  • Reduce 1 ltr milk to 250 ml.
  • Add sugar to it.
  • Crush walnut kernels to small pieces.
  • Add the walnuts,rose petals to it and cook till you get semi-solid consistency.
  • Grease tray with 1 teaspoon ghee.
  • Pour the walnut mixture on greased tray.Garnish with pistachios & few rose petals.
  • Make incisions with a knife on the mix.
  • Set in refrigerator for couple of hours.
  • Serve once set.
