Ingredients

  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 2 tbsp. oil use an oil with high smoke point such as avacado oil/rice bran oil, avoid using extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. cheese grated,optional. Cheddar/Gouda or any cheese.
  • 1 tbsp. garlic chives or green garlic, optional
  • Salt and pepper as per taste

Instructions

  • Wash and dry potatoes.Choose potatoes of same size for even cooking.
  • Pinch the potatoes with the fork atleast for a 1 cm.
  • Brush oil on potatoes, season with salt.
  • Preheat the air fryer at 200 deg C | 390 F for 5 mins. Place them in the tray in a single layer in the preheated air fryer. You may need to cook them in batches depending on your basket size.
  • Air fry them at 200 C |390 F for 25-30 mins.Apply oil once and flip midway i.e. after 15 minutes.
  • To check if they are done, insert a toothpick and check if it can pierce through. Smaller potatoes will cook faster than bigger potatoes.
  • The baked potatoes in ninja foodi are cooked now, you may serve them now or continue adding more toppings to make twice baked potatoes air fryer recipe.
  • Slit in the middle. Garnish with grated cheese & garlic chives.
  • Bake further for 2 minutes to melt the cheese. Serve these warm

For blooming potatoes in air fryer

  • In a preheated air fryer, bake the potatoes for 20 minutes first at 190 C/390F. Once done, allow them to cool and cut them (not completely) ,you can use 2 chopsticks when cutting down on each side.
  • Brush the potatoes with oil and continue to bake/cook at 190C/375F for 15-20 minutes or until the potato is cooked.
  • Top the potatoes with a mix of cheese, green onion, salt , paprika and garlic powder.
    Bake for further 2-3 minutes and allow the cheese to melt. Serve warm

Notes

Pls note that bigger potatoes will take more time to cook, its best to try inserting a knife after 25-30 minutes to check if they are cooked.
