Air fried noodles | vegan American chop suey recipe

For fried noodles
- 2 packet noodles I prefer ramen noodles
- 2 teaspoon olive oil or any other oil. Use half quantity of oil to toss noodles, rest to spray while its cooking in the airfryer.
- ½ tablespoon cornflour
for vegan choupsuey gravy
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- ¼ cup onion sliced
- ½ cup cabbage sliced
- ½ cup carrot sliced
- ¼ cup capsicum sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce use less if using dark soy sauce
- ½ tablespoon Chilli sauce or as per taste
- 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
- Salt and black pepper as per taste
- 1 teaspoon corn flour/tapioca starch
- 1.5 cup water
For air frying noodles:
Heat water in a pot, add the ramen noodles,cook as per the instructions on the packet, do not overcook.Drain, and cool with cold water.
Toss the cooked noodles in a large bowl with the chosen oil. Add cornflour and mix it evenly.
Preheat the airfryer at 170C|340F for 5 minutes. Spread them out in a single layer in the air fryer basket on a parchment paper.
Start cooking them , it takes 12-13 minutes to cook them at 170C|340F. Spray oil once in between.
For manchurian sauce:
Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and onion, cook for few minutes. Add carrot slices and cook for few minutes , add rest of the veggies.Cook for 4-5 minutes
Add spices and cook until soft. Add the sauce mix.
Mix the cornflour with water and add this mix to the pan. Continue to cook until the mixture comes to boil.
Serve this hot gravy on top of cripsy noodles for the American choupuey recipe.
