Air fryer broccoli kofta recipe

Equipment

Ingredients

  • ½ broccoli blanched, ½ broccoli is 200 gms
  • 100 gm tofu
  • 2 medium potatoes boiled and mashed, 300 gm
  • Oil spray

Spices

  • ½ tablespoon ginger
  • ½ tbsp. dried mint leaves
  • ½ teaspoon salt or per taste
  • ½ tablespoon cumin powder
  • ½ tablespoon paprika / red chili powder
  • ½ tablespoon garam masala powder

Tomato and Onion curry sauce

  • 1 cup curry sauce refer recipe in notes
  • 2 cup water adjust water depending on how thick curry you need.

Instructions

  • Prepare the Mixture: Blanch broccoli for 10 minutes in hot water with salt, drain well.
    ½ broccoli
  • Combine Ingredients: Mix in the tofu ,broccoli,dried mint leaves, ginger and optional spice powders (garam masala, red chilli powder / green chillies and salt) in a food processor, Add grated boiled potatoes to the mixture.
    2 medium potatoes, ½ tablespoon ginger, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ tbsp. dried mint leaves
  • Form the kofta: Portion out the mixture equally. Shape them into kofta balls
  • Freeze for Better Texture: brush with a little oil, and freeze for 4 hours or ovenight to help retain their shape.
  • Air Frying: Preheat the air fryer to 180 C | 355 F for 5 mins. Place the patties in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 20-22 minutes, flipping halfway and brushing with oil again to ensure even browning.

Cooking in curry sauce

  • Warm the prepared curry sauce in a pan over medium heat.Gently add the air-fried koftas to the sauce.
  • Simmer for 3–4 minutes so the koftas soak up the flavors.Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
