Air fryer soya tikki recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cup soya nuggets dried soy nuggets
  • 1 cup mashed potato boil and peel potatoes
  • ½ tablespoon garam masala powder
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 1 tablespoon dried mint
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder optional
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon oil for brushing

Instructions

  • Soak the soya nuggets in hot water (about 3–4 cups of water) for 15–20 minutes until soft. Squeeze out any excess water.

  • Grind the softened soya chunks with dried mint, green chillies, ginger, salt, and garam masala into a coarse mixture.
    ½ tablespoon garam masala powder, 1 tablespoon ginger, 1 tablespoon dried mint, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, 1 tablespoon salt
  • Mix this with mashed potatoes
    1 cup mashed potato
  • Shape the mixture into tikkis (or soya chunks cutlet patties).
  • Brush lightly with oil and freeze for a long time or overnight for better texture.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
  • Place the tikkis in a single layer and air fry for 20–22 minutes, flipping halfway until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve hot with green chutney
