Strawberry Modak recipe

Ingredients

Instructions
In a bowl add sliced strawberries along with sugar. Keep it aside for 15 mins.
Mash them with a potato masher/ mathni to release the juices.
Sieve the mixture to leave the seeds/pieces out
In a pan,start cooking the mix on low flame
Soon it will start reducing,continue cooking on low flame and stirring continuously
Cook it on low flame until you get around ⅓ cup of puree.It will take close to 30 minutes on low flame.
Switch off the gas and add milk powder mixing it slowly.
Switch on the gas for few minutes, add 1 teaspoon of ghee to bind it together.
Once the mixture has cooled a bit, shape them into desired moulds/modak. This yields 12 modaks and can be stored in refrigerator.
Notes
You may increase the sugar if you prefer, this ratio yields lightly sweet modak.
