½teaspoonRed Chili Powder
½teaspoonturmeric powder
½teaspooncumin powder
½teaspoongreen chillior as per taste
¼teaspoonasafoetida /heengavoid if gluten-free
3tablespoontamarind paste
waterenough to make thick paste
1tablespoonoil
saltas per taste
8-10Colocasia leavesarbi leaves
For tempering
1teaspoonsesame seeds
1tablespoonoil
salt as per taste
freshly grated coconutfor garnish
Instructions
In a mixing bowl add green chili, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, asafoetida, chickpea flour, quinoa flour,oats flour,cumin powder and tamarind paste with enough water to make a thick paste
Mix well with water to make a paste.
Wash the leaves first & spread the paste using a spoon on the taro leaves so that the mixture is spread evenly
Add another leaf on top,spread the mixture again. Do this with atleast 4-5 leaves.
Close it from both ends and roll it up.
repeat this for another set of leaves,put these rolls in a steamer.
Steam it for 20-22 minutes, Remove it from steamer and keep it aside to cool.
Once it cools down,cut it into small spirals like a Swiss roll. Meanwhile preheat the air fryer for 5 mins at 180 C|355 F
Brush them with oil and sprinkle sesame seeds on them,air fry them in a preheated air fryer at 180 C|355 F for 8-10 minutes.
garnish with fresh grated coconut.
Serve warm with a dip/chutney
Notes
You may adjust the spices as per your liking. Increase the chillies or tamarind pulp as per your taste.
