    Air fryer bean cutlets

    Bean cutlets are a delicious snack for teatime. You can use any beans of choice and mash it with potatoes. Freeze the patty and air fry anytime guests are coming home. This style of veg cutlets has minimal spices. Also, making such patties at home helps you avoid additives and preservatives which are commonly added to veg cutlets when made commercially.

    Serve this tasty tikki with mint , spicy mango chutney or date chutney. You can also pair it with a hot sauce or tomato ketchup.

    • beans
    • potato
    • cumin powder
    • curry power
    • ginger
    • salt as per taste
    • oil spray

    Instructions

    • Boil the potatoes. Peel and mash them. Meanwhile chop the beans.

    • Blanch beans and drain them.

    • Mix all the ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
    Mix to make a patty

    Shape them into patties and freeze them in a tray optionally for 3-4 hours.

    • Preheat the air fryer for 5 mins at 180C|355F.
    • Place the bean patties in air fryer basket on a baking sheet, without overlap. Spray oil.
    • Air fry the bean cutlets for 14-15 mins at 180C|355F.

    Flip in between and spray oil. Cook for 3-4 mins further on 180C|355F. Serve hot.

    Ingredients

    • 250 gm French beans chopped and blanched
    • 250 gm potato boiled
    • ½ tablespoon cumin powder
    • ½ tablespoon curry power
    • 1 tablespoon ginger
    • salt as per taste
    • oil spray

    Instructions

    • Boil the potatoes. Peel and mash them in a bowl.
    • Blanch beans.
    • Mix all the ingredients together to make a patty. Freeze it for 3-4 hours.
    • Preheat the air fryer for 5 mins at 180C|355F.
    • Place the bean patties in air fryer basket without overlap. Spray oil.
    • Air fry the bean cutlets for 19-20 mins at 180C|355F, flipping in between.

    Variations and Substitutions

    • You can substitute potatoes with sweet potatoes.
    • Use any beans of your choice to make this bean cutlets.

    Storage

    Store the raw cutlets in freezer and air fry whenever you wish to eat. Leftover cooked cutlets can also be air fried for 3-4 mins next time in air fryer.
