This air fryer makhana (fox nuts) tikki is an easy fasting snack made with makhana, peanuts, sabudana, and potato. It is crisp around the edges, soft inside, and much lighter than deep-fried vrat snacks. Because makhana is the main ingredient, this recipe feels different from the usual potato tikki while still staying easy to shape and cook.
This recipe works well for Navratri or other fasting days if the seasonings suit the fasting rules you follow. Chilling the shaped tikkis before air frying helps them hold together and makes it easier to cook only the number you need.

Why this works well in the air fryer?
The air fryer makes this recipe simple and low-mess. You do not need deep frying, the tikkis cook with very little oil, and chilling the mixture first helps them hold shape well. It is especially useful on fasting days because you can prepare the tikkis ahead and air fry only what you need. That makes this a convenient makhana ki recipe for busy evenings, quick snacks, or light vrat meals.
