No wonder fruit chaat is so popular back home. Another way to enjoy this experience is by making delicious recipes like a guava ice cream and guava sorbet. It is one of my favorite recipes when we visit ice cream shop in India. You can make homemade ice cream even without ice cream machine. Earlier we started making our ice cream recipe with whole milk. Slowly moved onto to make vegan ice creams with Vitamix. Now we regularly make a batch with whatever fruits are in season.

Ingredients
To create this decadent Vegan Guava Ice Cream, you will only need a few essential ingredients, which will not only keep the recipe simple but also enhance its deliciousness. In order to truly capture the essence of this tropical dessert, it is recommended to gather
1. ripe guavas, (if you get pink guavas then you get a good color as well)
2. creamy coconut milk,
3.sugar (adjust as per your liking)
4. Salt & Red chilli powder for garnish (this is optional, in India guava is served with mix of salt and red chilli powder on top, the same can be done on the ice cream as well)

- Blender (I prefer using a strong blender like Vitamix)

Best natural Guava ice cream -(no churn recipe)
Equipment
- Vitamix blender
- steamer can use a rice cooker or insta pot or heat bottom pot
- potato masher

Ingredients
- 1 kg guava Ripe guavas
- ¾ cup coconut milk depending on the power of the blender, adjust the quantity .refer notes
- ¼ cup sugar or as per taste
- salt and red chilli powder optional,refer notes
Instructions
- Take the whole fruit and let is steam for 30 minutes or until it is completed soft.Now start mashing these cooked guavas, you may use a food processor to pulse them, but it might break the seeds if you pulse it too much
- Take a large bowl and put a sieve on top, start straining the guava pureeOnce done,the guava nectar is now ready to be frozen
- Scoop the guava nectar in an ice tray or silicon tray, cover with plastic wrap and move it into the freezer to set overnight.Once frozem,take them out and cut into smaller pieces
- Add coconut milk and sugar to a blender, mix for few secondsAdd frozen guava pieces,start blending, if you are using Vitamix, then use a tamper to mix it.
- The ice cream is now ready,however if you want to freeze it, then move it to a freezer safe container. Freeze for 3-4 hours.
- Store in an airtight container. Before serving ,leave the frozen dessert for 5 minutes else it will be little hard to scoop.
