Childhood nostalgia
My mum always made this roasted peanuts for my grandpa. He was a diabetic. Always watched what he ate. She would roast them and add bit of salt for him and keep a jar ready. She also worked long hours so ensured we never stayed hungry when home alone. Hence, we always had snacks ready for a quick bite. I appreciate all mums who never give up kitchen. They work twice as hard for making kids feel special. My MIL too keeps jar full of stuff ready for munching, whenever we visit home. Though we might be older now, we still feel like a kid in the kitchen again.
