    Airfried roasted cashews | crunchy kaju in air fryer

    Roasted cashews is a great snack for tea time. Many people love to buy store roasted cashews but they are pricier overall and mostly fried. Baked cashews is an easy recipe to make if you want to avoid fried version. You can always make them in an air fryer oven. I always find my Ninja foodi more convenient than a traditional oven to make snacks. Once you start making them air fried roasted cashews will definitely be in your pantry forever.

    Growing kids need a lot of options and nuts are great if they are not allergic to them.It is much better than giving them market based cookies and snacks as they do come with palm oil and added colors and preservatives. You can make healthy snack like

    • whole raw cashews
    • olive oil / coconut oil
    • salt as per taste
    • seasoning of your choice

    how to roast cashews in air fryer ?

    1. Preheat the air fryer at 160 deg C | 320 deg F for 5 mins.

    2. Place unsalted cashews in a single layer in a preheated (preheat at 160C|320F for 5 minutes) air fryer basket.

    3. Air fry cashews at 160 C |320 F for 6-7 mins.

    4. Once done, these are ready to be enjoyed. Alternatively you can add masala or any other seasoning along with 1 teaspoon oil (like extra virgin olive oil) to make masala kaju.

    5. Allow it to cool down, store air fryer cashews in an air tight container.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup unroasted cashews
    • 2 teaspoon oil
    • 1 teaspoon seasoning any seasoning mix of your choice
    • Salt as per taste

    Instructions

    • Preheat the air fryer at 160 deg C | 320 deg F for 5 mins.
    • Place these unroasted cashews in a preheated air fryer basket (preheat at 160C|320F for 5 minutes)
    • Air fry cashews at 160 C |320 F for 6-7 mins.
    • Once done, these are ready to be enjoyed,alternatively you can add masala or any other seasoning along with 1 teaspoon oil. this will allow the seasoning to stick on the cashewnuts
    • Store it in an air tight container once they cool down.

    Variations & Substitutions

    • You can make your mix of Indian spices by making a mix of garlic powder, red chilli powder / black pepper powder, dry mango powder according to your taste. You may add garam masala or chaat masala / if you like it tangy.
    • You can make crunchy sweet chilli cashews by adding maple syrup and nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder if you like a sweet flavor.
    • Add some lime juice and black pepper to golden brown crunchy cashews make a delicious snack.
    • You can just add sendha namak that we use for fasting days.
    • You can also roast cashews in ghee if you are a vegetarian. It is one of my favorite recipes to snack on. I can eat it all day. I will trade this for a cookie or a mixture, any day. Cashews are a great source of zinc and fiber and come with their health benefits albeit they may be little high in calories.
