Replace plain flour with whole wheat to make a healthy banana pancakes recipe. Use overripe bananas. They are naturally sweet and kids do not like extra ripe bananas. Thus, they go waste. This mashed banana pancakes recipe helps you fight food waste too. We are always thinking of making food healthy. This was suggested by my friend Anuja who makes it regularly for her son Atharv who loves having pancakes. Many kids also have the Peppa pig fixation and want to have what the cartoon character wants to eat. Hence moms have to make the required dish too. Given a choice, mums always want their kids to eat healthy. Thus, this recipe helps both. Kids are happy and their mum too.

Whole wheat banana pancake
Eggless wholemeal pancakes are great for breakfast along with berries.
Servings: 5
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 ½ banana mashed
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. ghee/butter hot
- For garnish:
- ½ cup berries strawberries+ blue berries
- 1 tablespoon honey for garnish
Instructions
- Mix banana and milk in a blender for few seconds.
- Add the banana mix to flour,along with honey and hot butter/ghee.
- Mix will with a whisk.
- Heat a heavy bottom iron pan/tava and add a ladle of batter and spread evenly to make a thick pancake.
- Add few drops of ghee and let it cook evenly from both sides.
- Garnish with berries and honey,serve warm
Notes
If the batter is too thin then the pancake will be difficult to flip.
