Rava ladoo or Suji ladoo is a simple yet a very tasty sweet.Semolina is an easy ingredient to find.Indian sweets like sooji halwa & kheer are a common preparations.
Saawan maas (jul-aug)is a holy month for Hindus.There are many festivals in this month like Varalakshmi vratam,Teejri,Nag panchami,Rakhi etc.Sooji or semolina recipe sweets are easy be it halwa or suji ladoo recipe.

You can also serve this during Ganesh Chaturthi, or any pooja or havan.This is very famous delicacy in Andhra and Telangana region.You can make this simple sweet whenever you wish to have something sweet.During my stay in Vizag,this sweet was pretty popular one.I remember so many aunties sending over this sweet, post any pooja.It is wholesome and cooks in no time.Looks and tastes great too.Nuts and ghee add to the taste and nutrient count of roasted semolina.You could adjust the ghee and milk in the recipe.Size of rava laddu can be made according to your choice.
Variations
You can also make rava laddu recipe with condensed milk or with milk powder.Rava laddoo with coconut also tastes great.

How to make rava laddu ?
- Roast sooji/semolina with 2 tablespoon ghee until rawness disappears.Keep it aside.
- Roast dry fruits in 1 tablespoon ghee and keep it aside.
- In a pan,add semolina,sugar and milk and mix well on low flame.
- While it is warm,add dry fruits.Switch off the flame.
- Roll them into small balls with a greased palm.
- Serve once done.
Storage
Store it in an air tight jar for 3-5 days.

Ingredients
- 1 cup sooji/semolina
- ½ cup sugar
- 4 tablespoon ghee or clarified butter
- ½ cup dry fruits cashews,almonds,raisins
- 2-3 tablespoon milk

Food safety
- Cook to a minimum temperature of 165 °F (74 °C)
- Do not use the same utensils on cooked food, that previously touched raw meat
- Wash hands after touching raw meat.
- Don't leave food sitting out at room temperature for extended periods
- Never leave cooking food unattended.
- Use oils with high smoking point to avoid harmful compounds.
- Always have good ventilation when using a gas stove.
