Besan chilla or pudla is a vegan pancake.This chickpea flour pancake is one of the easiest breakfasts.Besan pancakes are also called as chilra or ghara too.It is super yum.Some people also call it vegan omelette.It is full of proteins due to chickpea flour and makes for a great snack too.You can add any veggies to it and make your own version.Some people also make it with atta or wholemeal flour.Originally, cheela or chilra is vegan and gluten-free.You can eat it with some mint chutney or tomato sauce.However, pairing it with roti or bread makes it a complete meal.Great when you are off eggs.You donot miss an egg so much with veg replacements.

Besan chilla- vegan pancake
- 2 cup mixed veggies grated potato,carrots,spring onion
- 1 tbsp ginger chillies
- 2 cup besan/chickpea flour
- 1 1/4 cup water
- Salt as per taste
- Oil to cook
- Mix besan/chickpea flour with spices and little water.
- Add veggies and whisk into a smooth batter.
- Take a laddle and pour it on a hot iron griddle/tava.
- Cook on both sides with little oil.
- Serve warm with mint chutney.
