- Meanwhile wash and cut the brussel sprouts in halves. Dry them with a tissue.
- Toss them along with oil in a mixing bowl.
- Preheat the airfryer to 180 deg C | 350 F for 10 mins.Layer the vegetable in the air fryer crisping tray or basket without overlapping.
- Air fry for 10 mins at 180 C | 350 deg F.
- Remove the brussels sprouts from air fryer and move them to a bowl
- Toss them with oil ,balsamic vinegar ,salt and pepper dressing
- Air fry for 4 mins at 180 C | 350 deg F.
- Serve hot immediately.
How to make air fryer smashed brussel sprouts ?
- In a pot of boiling water, add the brussel sprouts with salt. You can use frozen brussel sprouts as well.Let them cook for 15-20 minutes or until they are soft.
- Drain the excess water and let them cool down a bit.Place the brussel sprouts in a board and use a glass or a ramekin to smash them slowly.
- Brush the smashed Brussels sprouts with oil and place it in a preheated airfryer in a single layer. Air fry them at 180C/355F. Cook for 8-9 minutes.
- Brush oil again, flip over and continue to cook for a further 5-6 minutes .
Season them with salt and pepper, serve warm.
Variations
Air fryer yellow squash, broccoli and mushrooms are a great combination too with fresh Brussel sprouts. You can also top it with some garlic oil if you like. Cook them with collard greens and zucchini. You can also add garlic or soy sauce in it.
Substitutions
