Crispy air fryer chickpeas or roasted chana is a perfect snack for the fit foodie. I love munching all day when I m travelling or when I want to have my tea. Love it, if the recipe is high in protein but low in oil. Crunchy chana are a family favorite.

I love munching on boiled chole and even roasted ones. They are vegan and gluten free too. They are great for protein. You can use canned too or soak them overnight for this recipe. Add spices you like. Add a teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder ,thyme or any seasoning you like and make a different flavor each time. It is ready very fast and you do not have to spend hours in the kitchen making snacks.

You can also substitute garbanzo beans with black chickpeas and flatten them to make your own chana jor garam. Other high protein recipes are crunchy red lentils, air fried roasted soy beans, roasted peas and air fryer mung beans.

    Notes

To cook them in the oven, just follow the same steps, the total cook time will be around 20-22 minutes at the same temperature.Pre heat the oven before you cook them.
Please note that few air fryers circulate a lot of air due to the basket, hence the chickpeas blow up.I would suggest to use a perforated baking sheet / baking sheet with few holes, that will ensure that they do not blow around in the air fryer
