    Air fryer bread recipe

    Homemade bread is the perfect fix for morning breakfast. Bake air fryer breads over the weekend and enjoy the fresh smell in the kitchen, It is healthier to commercial made ones. You can also use the same dough to make a pizza base or just make buns from left over dough when you make a pizza base in an air fryer.  You can also toast frozen bread in air fryer.

    Toasting bread in air fryer is easier as it heats faster. You can also use it to bake frozen samosas and frozen garlic bread. If you want to reheat bread in air fryer, just preheat it for 3-4 minutes before placing bread in it.

    Homemade buns are easy to make. These homemade rolls are fluffy soft bread and once you make your own you will fall in love with it again & again. You can also experiment with flours. There is no smell better than freshly baked bread.

    Ingredients

    • Plain flour
    • Yeast in warm water with sugar
    • oil
    • water to knead the dough
    • salt

    Equipment

    • stand mixer
    • oven or air fryer

    Instructions

    • Add sugar to lukewarm water, mix until it dissolves. Add yeast to sugar water, so that it activates.

    • This will make the mix frothy and activate in 15 minutes.

    • Add this yeast mix with flour ,water and salt mix

    • Add oil to the mix

    • Start mixing the dough while adding the remaining water.The dough needs to be a little wet and sticky but smooth.

    • Keep it aside for 30 minutes to rise.

    • Once it has doubled, punch it down and knead it again.Divide the flour in equal portions, give them a round shape using oiled hands

    • Arrange them in an oiled baking tray with some space in between the buns.

    • Let it rest for 30 minutes. You will see the dough rise and sides might touch each other.

    • Make a mixture of melted butter and milk

    • Once risen(after 30 minutes), bake in a preheated air fryer at 180C for 15 minutes or until it sounds hollow when you tap it on the top.

    • Brush with the butter/milk mixture at the end and allow them to cool completely.

    • Allow the bread to cook down for an hour after taking it out of the baking tin

    Variations

    You can make variations of this bread recipe. Add some with tutti frutti bread if you like it sweet. You can also add some spices to make your own masala buns. You can stuff it to make bread roll or serve it as vada pav. I love warm butter loaded buns with some strawberry preserve or spicy marmalade just like Paddington.You can make your variations of dinner buns by adding some sesame seeds, or chia seeds.

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups plain flour
    • 2 teaspoon yeast
    • 2 tablespoon oil
    • 1 cup water use ¼ cup for yeast and rest with flour
    • ½ teaspoon sugar
    • salt as per taste
    • 1 tablespoon butter soft butter for brushing at the end
    • 1 tablespoon milk for brushing at the end

    Notes

    To make sure that the buns are super soft, the dough needs to be sticky and a little wet.
    You may replace wholewheat flour with plain flour for plain buns recipe
    , in that case,use 3 cups of plain flour instead of 2.5 cups of wholewheat flour.
